Maharani

This is a story of two girls who grew up in an orphanage. Mahalaxmi and Rani are friends in the orphanage. Rani gives advertisement in a newspaper giving her details. Seeing that advertisement Devaraj and Yamuna come over to the orphanage and adopt Rani has their daughter thinking that she is their real daughter. In actual Mahalaxmi is their daughter.

Thus enters Rani into the house of Devaraj, who is a Crorepathy worth Rs.2,000 crores.

Rani comes to know that Mahalaxmi is their daughter and tries to finish off Maha but Maha escapes and takes shelter in her own mother's house.

Devaraj comes to know that his real daughter is Mahalaxmi. Mahalaxmi and Prakash love each other, Devaraj tries to marry is daughter to Prakash and arranges for it.

Rani tacitly marries Prakash. Seeing this turnaround Devaraj dies of heart-attack. Prakash from behind helps Maharani in her business ventures. Maharani who had opened business in the name of Yamuna Associates gets success after success at the anger of Rani.

Topiaz suddenly takes out the documents which was signed by Maharani when she was in his captivity and is planning to file a case claiming the ownership of Yamuna Associates.

Topiaz now finds himself in danger to his life without ever knowing that he is.

Topiaz finally gets killed and the police are on the look-out for the killer. ACP Devanarayanan himself takes up the case.

The suspected killer eludes ACP and still Sandhya is not seen. Gradually the investigation seems to be closing in on Rani.
